| Hamlet, al tener la certeza de que su padre ha
sido asesinado por su madre y el hombre que después, casándose con
ella ha usurpado el puesto del Rey, toma la decisión de vengarse. Para
ello fingirá estar loco. pero la reina sospecha, ordena su exilio y
trama un plan para matarlo. Dicho plan no dará buen resultado y tras
una breve ausencia, Hamlet vuelve y se entera de la muerte de Ofelia,
que ha enloquecido al creerle muerto. Laertes, hermano de Ofelia, culpa
de ello a Hamlet y desea venganza. El Rey, que considera ésta una buena
oportunidad para eliminar a Hamlet, prepara un torneo, aparentemente
amistoso, entre los dos. En él, Laertes mata a Hamlet, pero no antes de
haber sido herido de muerte él mismo y el Rey. La Reina bebe por error
una bebida preparada por el Rey para ofrecersela a Hamlet y muere
envenenada. |
