| Romeo y Julieta se conocen en una fiesta donde
se enamoran inmediatamente sin saber que pertenecen a familias enemigas,
los Montesco y los Capuleto. Consiguen casarse secretamente confiando
que su amor acabará con el odio entre sus familias, pero en una reyerta
callejera Romeo se ve obligado a matar a un Capuleto, marchándose de
Verona. Julieta, para huir de una boda forzada por su padre, toma un
somnífero haciéndoles creer que ha muerto. Romeo creyendo que es real
se envenena muriendo junto a la tumba de su amada. Al despertar y verle
muerto, Julieta se quita la vida. |
