WHO ARE WE?:

* LEA BOOK DISTRIBUTORS is an international book distribution company established in 1978. We have devoted our efforts to better seve the academic community outside the United States and inside this country. Although we have serviced the needs of college bookstores in the past, we are now better prepared than ever before for this task.

* LEA BOOK DISTRIBUTORS offers a comprehensive distribution service for American and Canadian college and university bookstores. Buy any book in Spanish from us.

Our service has two modalities:
THE FAST TRACK: Most books that are commonly used in college textbooks will be readily available for shipment in one to three weeks.
THE SLOW TRACK: When we accept purchases on a special order basis, we will need to import those books from the publishers in the country of origin, usually in 3 to 6 weeks.
WHAT DO WE OFFER:

1) A comprehensive distribution service for any Spanish books you need, published anywhere.

2) Price quotations: Give us your list of Spanish textbooks for the fall semester. Indicate approximate quantities you need. We will send you a quotation expediently, indicating if we can process it immediately or if we need to deal with it as a special order and the time it would take to deliver the books.

3) An extensive website for booksellers and professors to select the books they need for their courses.

4) A helpful and supportive staff to assist you in the process.

5) LINK to “SPANISH BOOKS IN PRINT”: Booksellers will be offered a free link to the ISBN, Spanish books in Print (only books published in Spain are included here), so they can check bibliographic data and availability for their lists.

SALES POLICIES:

A) DISCOUNTS: Bookstores will commonly receive from 20% to 30% discount off the typical retail prices for Spanish books (FOB New York). In some cases and volumes, we could offer hight discounts.

B) DELIVERIES will be expedient for books readily available. Special orders will take from 4 to 6 weeks.

C) RETURNS will be allowed for up to 20% of the order. No returns allowed on "special orders" that are specifically imported for a customer.

D) BILLING: All stores that are fiscally part of an academic institution will be automatically billed on a 30 day net payment basis. Independent stores and privately held book companies will be sent pro-forma invoices for prepayment or will be able to pay with a credit card. They can submit a credit application for an open account.

E) DESK COPIES: We will provide desk copies for firm orders of 50 copies or more (of the same title). Desk copies must be requested by the professor and will be shipped directly to the professor.

Discount applies to: Prices listed on our quotations or on the catalogs we provide in Excel format, extensive selection of publishers from Spain, México, Argentina, Chile, and Perú (prices listed there are subject to change).

RETURNS (only orders within the US): On a per-title basis, LEA indicates on requested quotes and invoices what books are returnable and which ones are not. As a general rule, any "special order" title is non-returnable. On books quoted as returnable, only 20% of original order per title can be returned. There are no re-stocking charges.

Minimum order for discount: $200.00. Orders under $200.00 gross will be shipped without discount.

These discounts apply to books published outside the U.S. and Canada, in Spanish speaking countries.

Some customers are also ordering books published in the US. We will quote the discounts that apply for every order.

RETURN POLICIES:

            ** We facilitate a book return option for regular customers only.
            ** Up to 20% of each title ordered may be returned.
            ** Bookseller pays shipping back to us. No credit is given for initial shipping charges.
            ** We only issue credit to bookseller’s account; it may be applied to any pending payments or to forthcoming orders.
            ** We will accept returns for any defective book or any book shipped in error by us. In these cases, if prepayment has been made, a full refund will be mailed to the bookseller.
